I’m not a hunter but that was a great article and a good read with excellent information even if used for day packing with no expectation of being caught out overnight but then it happened.

A lightweight emergency blanket, like those reflective survival blankets, are necessary in your pack if you get stuck away from camp. good to have as a piece of mind if hiking or hunting away from base camp or home.

Very good information and giving several options for gear. Your gear is a major part in the success of the hunt. Very good descriptions for the rigors of the hunt and making use of the vast public lands. For me I find my Tikka T3x Lite .308 with a 360 degree swivel chair with recline and premium cushion seat from Office Depot key to my success in a South Texas deer blind
