The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) is already suing the BATFE for illegally attempting to create legislation regarding pistol braces. While I am in favor of people voicing their opinions, Grass Roots support will not deter the ATF, and rarely has any real affect on any government agency. These rogue agencies will only change their ways when they are hit with Federal Court orders or new legislation.

All gun owners should contact their representatives about this issue, but they also need to support the gun rights organizations that are actually taking steps to confront illegal government activity. I would love to start supporting the NRA again, but it just seems like they are more interested in giving interviews and writing press releases (which all end with a request for donations) than actually taking the legal and legislative steps necessary to confront the problem. As long as the NRA is letting groups like SAF and the NSSF do the actual fighting, then my money will continue to go to the smaller groups.
