Beretta guys..??

Old_Me

SAINT
i have 2...92 FS's.

and the other day, when i was practicing with my black one, the one thing that was a PITA, was the mag release button.

it is too short.

so i did some searching and to me, the best extended mag release button, was the all steel one from Beretta.....

drop in, no fitting.

i checked other company brands, like Wilson, but i had read a few complaints about thiers being slightly over sized, and needed to be fitted, one guy gave up, and bought one from Beretta.

only tools needed are...

bit (or screwdriver) driver to remove BOTH grips

maybe some lube oil...(to put a drop into the spring/bushing of the new release button)

wooden dowel.....(i used a wooden clothes pin)

from start to finish, maybe less than 5 minutes.....really....

the black Beretta, OEM mag release, "exploded" as i popped it out,........ spring, and 2 bushings went flying.....but i found everything.

i just cannot put it back together.....(tiny pieces, old eyes)

the one mag release button, that did not explode, all plastic by the way....i put a drop of lube inside at the outer ends, where those bushings slide.

this is the outside, showing the 2 sliding bushings, and tiny, but strong spring.

Wow, I never changed any of my mag releases, I have tried the extended one on a 1911 once and I kept hitting by accident while shooting the gun so I put the regular one back in, I don’t have to much input on the Beretta, all I know is I was instructed not to dry fire them due to there 2 piece firing pins…..

i didn't know Berettas had a 2 piece firing pin..

but as a my "normal" use of all my guns (and many here had debated this subject)...i just do not dry fire any of my guns..i have snap caps for all (except my 45 LC Vaquero) guns
