An interesting older article from 2018 about several brands of firearms guns socks to help prevent damage from moisture, rust, minor damage like scratches and other debris.
Article covers several different types and sizes. Some newer firearms come with gun socks included like some by Magnum Research. Gun socks are a relatively new thing for me and other than what's stated in this article and a few others, know very little about them other than many are treated with silicone. Which is not high on my list to be around firearms or skin.
Are they just more hocus pokus or do they actually help protect firearms is one basic question am not sure of. Do any of you have a more and longer experience, have pro's and con's or other thoughts on or with them to share?
