Best Night Sight Brands

I’ve been using Trijicon night sights for 20 years now. I’ve tried others...but when I am going to put night sights on a carry gun, or a HD gun...it’s Trijicon.

Their HD sights are the ones to beat, in all of my experience.

It’s also worth mentioning that XS might design their sights...but the lamps are made by Trijicon. This goes for several other makers, as well...

If I remember right, my first set of night sights were I think Metro something, it was a division of Kimber, can’t remember the actual name of the sights

And why i like the Trijicon HD’s:

In daylight; nice bright front sight, muted rear that doesn’t distract you.

Closeup; nice generous U-notch to find the ball quick...the orange jumps right out at you.

But most importantly—low light. That front sight stands out brilliantly from the rear. Given—this was after it was out in bright sunlight, and that orange phosphor paint is pretty well charged...but the lamp still will give it a little glow, even in full dark.

I am with HansGruber. I have been putting Trijicon HD's on all my pistols since I first saw them at the Sig Academy a number of years ago. That big fat dot up front and wide rear sight notch were made with my old eyes in mind. I have been through a number of night fire sessions with them and can tell you these things Work!

TruGlo Tritium Pro on my 2 M&P's for almost 6 years. No discernible loss of brightness yet. Left my Hellcat OSP sights stock but added the Shield RMSc red dot. Always have a small 500 lumen tactical flashlight in my support side pocket with me as well, just in case.
