The right to self-defense knows no color, race, or creed.

Why is race a factor in self-defense?

Why the emphasis on dividing Americans based upon racial characteristics?
Did you read the article or are you commenting on a headline?

Toure’s group is trying to fill a current and urgent need. Yes, in a perfect world race shouldn’t matter in anything including self defense. But we don’t live in a perfect world. We live in the Post Obama race baiting, Marxist BLM Inc taking over of a completely valid and meaningful Black Lives Matter movement, riots, and politicians ordering cops to leave neighborhoods and entire cities to fend for themselves kind of world.
Toure is a best case scenario for training black citizens to defend themselves because he is NOT teaching racial division. He’s simply teaching the 2nd Amendment. He absolutely has an audience and has to cater to it in order to get the message out. But it is the message that counts, not the headline.

Yes I read the article and I believe that in the face of what is happening in the world this is a good thing, my concern is using the
“Black (*********) Matter”
Monicker, my opinion is that that is being used in the wrong or misused context to often for everything.

Every human on this earth matters.

I have many many friends of color and they know I don’t see color, I see there heart and passion in life. I dated a beautiful lady of color in high school, These same friends have told me even they are sick and tired of the “BLM”
One of those same friends told me if that was changed to “All Lives Matter” so many more people would understand it more.

My opinion is change the name to “🩸We All Bleed Red🩸.”

Now back to the article yes I think it’s awesome what he is doing with his organization but I don’t agree with the name he choose.

"FIREARMS TRAINING FOR BLACK AMERICANS, BY BLACK AMERICANS"

It might be more appropriate (less-devisive-sounding) if the title read "Firearms Training For ALL Americans, Regardless of Race, Color, or Creed".

Yes, I read the article before posting.

From the article:
"The police, as we see, will leave".

Maybe, just maybe, the so-called "leadership" in these cities should not be telling (ordering) the police to stand down, thereby letting the rioters, looters, etc run rough-shod over the cities.

This (BLM) is a group who freaks out at the idea of someone saying "all lives matter", so I can see the marketing aspect of using that phrasing. You have to play to your audience to get them in the door. If your audience buys into Identity Politics, or what have you...you play to that.

It seems that once they're there, he's teaching the right message, so....more power to him (and us, in the end, because it helps us ALL). Hopefully the people he reaches will understand the difference between LAW-ABIDING gun ownership, and gang gun ownership that many, unfortunately, experience in their daily neighborhood lives...and those people will spread the word about LEGAL ownership, and RESPONSIBLE ownership.

I wish him the best.
