“Black T” mainspring housing

Hey all,
I recently purchased a Springfield Pro model 1911 and don’t like the mainspring housing with the magwell built in. Does anyone know where I can find one with the same finish without the magwell? Bonus if it’s checkered. Thanks, and stay safe out there.

It may need some fitting but they will generally work.

Eh..I’ve bought a few of those before. That would be ok for a beater gun.
Does anyone think Springfield would sell one to me? Maybe I’ll contact the custom shop..

I imagine you can buy any part from Springfield, but not a serialized part.

I’d be looking at the high-end makers—Wilson, Nighthawk, Brown, Baer, etc.

Most sell parts, and some will even do custom finishes on their parts.
