I bought two gallons to fill my bike up as a kid and cost 26 cents, the three station was having a gas war. was 13 cent a gallon. gas then was normally 25 to 30 cents. they don't do that anymore. also my first job paid 1.25 an hour. that was minimum wage back then. sheesh i'm old

I worked part time in gas stations in high school. I recall gas war prices as low as $.15 per gallon. The money was in getting the cars into the repair bays.

I had a 2” Model 12 at one point; square butt.

Probably should’ve hung on to that one, but it never shot all that well for me.

Had it been a round butt…oh, what a joy. Still looking for a 310 Night Guard…
A Model 12 with square butt would be of no interest to me.

And it prolly wouldn't have interested me even with a round butt. Even if I could scrounge up a M10 3" heavy barrel to swap on, I'd have reservations about taking the old barrel out of that alloy frame. Would have to do research to see if that's even possible/a good idea.

Now a 4" M12, that might be interesting. Even with a "pencil" (i.e., not heavy) barrel, I could always cut an inch off right at the end of the rod lock and have a new front sight put on and do SOMETHING with it. ;) Of course, these days an M12 of any kind is prolly too valuable to alter in any way, so there's THAT.
