A friend of mine was telling me about this CLP ha has been using. It’s called Blue Eagle CLP, I guess only way you can buy it is from them only right now, according to there web site, expensive though, $30.00 for a 4 ounce bottle, I have been using Lucas Oil Products, just wondering if any body has used this or even heard of it.

Edited….here is there web site

I have 7 different kinds of CLP, including Lucas Xtreme CLP. They all work similarly. I don't think I need to try any more CLP. I really like the Lucas and the Break Free.

As far as oil I dig Weapon Shield and for a straight cleaner I like Seal 1 .

Hmmm…
Non-hazardous micro level aerospace bio-based, etc etc blah blah blah… Well, you never know. But I think lubrication technology for common surface materials (metal) topped out by the early 80s and there won’t be anything new new until we get new materials to put new lubricants on.

By the way, what does this mean? Their formula penetrates brass cases ?? Its from their website.
  • “Our formula enhances a complete burn of the gunpowder in every round, creating a more consistent FPS and therefore a more accurate shot”

I like Lucas and Tetra… but just got some Wilson Combat oil & stuff to try before my CQB arrives.

There are definitely better lubricants than what was available in the 80s. Here's the thing though. Even for a guy like myself or many of us here who shoot a lot, it probably doesn't matter. What you were using in the 80s worked fine then and it works fine now. You have to shoot a lot more than most of us to actually "NEED" a super hi-tech lubricant.

That said, modern lubricants that penetrate the metal and resist carbon or make it much, MUCH easier to wipe off are a whole other story.

Hmm, yeah I see what you’re saying Bob. U are correct- there’s def better lubricants now depending on what your needs are.
But far as I can see they’re all incremental improvements, to the same lube technology… if that makes any sense.
Put another way, I don’t think there’s anything ‘revolutionary!’ , as they used to say in ads for various things. Most all of ‘em pretty much work, as u mentioned.

( Tidal Wave Industries? We… er, I mean they….will soon be taking credit card orders. Or so I hear :))

Speaking of miracle lubes, i have an unopened OTIS Life Liner kit. Anyone ever use it? Came out in 08 and I have only seen it for sale in Italy now.

Heard about it, read about it is about all. Guess there was a push around 2008 2010. Lot of talk is about it. Nothing really positive or negative found or heard. May have been pulled off market for some reason?

Was available at Amazon at one time: Reviews is all.

Nothing found/mentioned on Otis Tech gun-care site either;

Just a cleaner lubricant system:
