Briley 1911 Auto Spherical Oversized and Drop-In Bushings and Rings

Has anyone tried one of these bushings in their 1911?
It has interchangeable spherical bushings, I guess could be changed as the barrel wears.
Available in sizes from 0.563 to 0.587, suggested to use 0.001 over barrel od.
Available in Stainless and Black Oxided, drop in or oversize

i don't have enough rounds in any of my guns, to even think i need them..???

They work pretty good; question is if the juice is worth the squeeze.

HK, fwiw, uses a similar system in the Mk23, as well as the USP Match, Tactical, Elite & Expert pistols…which are absolute tack drivers. Instead of the metal bushing, they use a special silicon o-ring that locks the barrel in place.

i think that since i am a target/self defense practice shooter?

i'll buy the factory bushings.

heck, frankly, i have not yet read on any site, that shooters are replacing the factory bushings (on any make/model) very often.

I wonder if these would be a good replacement for the collet bushing that was used on Colt full-sized government models for 20 straight years, from 1969 to 1989.
