At my age and health, bugging out is not an option.
However, I do have a GHB that I'll throw in the car if traveling any distance. Blanket, tarp, poncho, hatchet, socks, first aid, pistol, holster, extra ammo, water and enough food for several days that could be stretched to a week if necessary.

No need to bug out since I already live in the last best place.

When traveling I always have preps for getting home.

Since I don't have to go east of the Mississippi River anymore, I avoid the PRCal, and have no need to go to the SW and old South west of the river, my get home preps are a lot simpler now.

Man, one of those would have been nice when i was a teenager. 😁
I got a new to me “used” company car that was only 6 months old.
We let go a female co worker and they gave me her car as an upgrade as mine was due to turn in.
Upon receiving the car, I went to get it detailed. It had crumbs and small trash from “road warrior” status in every nook.
It also had 2 sets of foot prints on the ceiling cloth. 🤢😱

The car wash/detailer found a used condom under the seat 🤮😷

I drove it back to the corp office and told HR why i wanted a new car.
They gave me keys to a new one in the garage .
