Bullitt today at 5:45 PM

Good eye. I was just out of college and I didn't have any adult supervision, so I was indulging myself with cars. That is a 66 Notchback Mustang in front of the 67. Good times. Which I am still reliving today! Some things a fella never outgrows. I was a motorcyclist for 30 accident free years. Thirteen years ago I got married, and my wife would not ride on back for love nor money. She told me to "go out with your little friends and ride" but I was riding less and less. But she did love convertibles. So for my 50th birthday I got the Backdraft Cobra and soon after that gave my Harley to my older brother. I miss the bikes sometimes, but hey...the Cobra is a four wheeled motorcycle!

McQueen was always mindful of his roots. I read yesterday that he built a swimming pool for underprivileged kids as a "Thank You" to the city for letting him film there. McQueen spent some time with his aunt and uncle here in Slater Missouri, so every year they have "Steve McQueen Days" with a car show and whatnot. First year they had it, McQueen's first wife and his old Judo instructor were the guests of honor. It was my intention to sleep with his wife and pick a fight with his Judo instructor in an effort to prove to myself I am as good as McQueen was. Fortunately, my girlfriend at the time , aware of my plan, got me drunk at lunch before I could set the plan in motion. Lucky for me!
