Burris AR 3x Multiplier

Anyone have any experience with this multiplier? I have a few Burris scopes and they are great. But I have not had any experience with their multipliers. Any of you guys have hands on experience, your input would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen this advertised, and would like to see one in real life also.

I have a PA 3X and while it works it's a bit larger than I prefer.

I have no experience with that particular multiplier but one thing I do know is you may run into issues if you use it with a different brand of RDS as these things are usually setup to pair with the same brand and model specific sights.

It's usually not a problem if you find a base that works with your sight height. I have several with mixed brands running mbus with mrd. I even have 1 that's variable. Not all are exact/matching height, but work well.

You won't be able to use a multiplier with the acog.

I had a 2x truglo and mbus and the funny thing is that it multiplied the mbus. The 2x was between the sights.

I have many brands and none are the $300 and up. Sightmark, vortex, utg and lucid too round it out. None are all that great, but work fine for what they are installed on.

Are you saying the 2x magnifier was between you buis? And it magnified your front sight?

Yes, I was able too use front and rear sight and was very clear. 3x was too much. It distorted.

It’s late for me, I was just confused how you had a magnifier in between buis and could see your front sight and target clearly. I’ve never heard of it but always wanting to learn.

magnifying space between the 2 creates a blur, but if the acog has a separate focus then maybe it will? Most likely no! It's like 2 scopes conjoined.

I have never used a multiplier I have a scope and a red dot mounted on the top of the scope for close quarters.

Went ahead and bought the Burris 3X multiplier. 5-10 days shipping. Hope it does well with my Holosun green dot.

Is it a flip to side type magnifier or a quick removal? Placement will need to be close too you and the mrd so your are seeing the whole picture and not looking around the outside of the mrd.

Both. It has a qd mount and a swivel to move it out of the way.

It should state height relation as in 1/3, full or otherwise. That is also if you are using in conjunction mbus? Make sure the mrd is as close too the same height as the 3x.
