California Burning 🔥

As a practical matter how can they rebuild? Mortgage companies require insurance. If you can't get insurance you can't get a mortgage. The cost of construction out there was outrageous before, costs will be even more now. National insurance companies that did cover homes are taking a major hit. The rest of us will have to pay more on our policies. We see a similar dynamic here in hurricane country. The super rich and big money corporations will have the cash to re-develop the burned out areas so I see these areas becoming even more exclusive than before. I can also see big changes coming in construction materials. It will be interesting to see what changes have been made 10 years from now.

They may be dry but their gay fire hydrants are newly painted. there are a few more different ones, all painted like the lgbqrst flag. im sure the background is shopped but the hydrant ain't. there is so much wrong going on with this situation it would take 10 more pages to post the links. a guy did on another site. you wouldn't believe how stupid the dems are.

JB says we'll pay for it.

The Donkeys have perfected the art of being paid high-wages for total incompetency.

Newsum is calling for an investigation on what happened with the fire Hydrants, he was quoted as saying he’s very concerned.
I wonder if he was concerned when LA cut $17.5 million from the fire department budget this year

California needs to adapt/change their building codes to make their housing more resistant to wildfires., just like Florida changed theirs to deal with hurricanes.

Case in point, a couple years ago a wind-driven wildfire started in an area north of Denver that ended up burning up many subdivisions. In one subdivision, the only house that survived was one with a southwestern-style with a tile roof and adobe exterior. All others burned.

The same thing happened in Maui when a wind-driven fire drove enough embers on to fire-vulnerable buildings that when ignited created the first heavy fuels (houses) that in turn pushed more fire, down-wind, into parts the rest of the community.

In addition, mitigation zones (strips with no/little fuels) should be used to break up/stop a wind-driven fire before it could reach a subdivision which could then ignite.

He and the mayor and others are thrashing around trying to find someone else to blame. They don't need and investigation to find the culprits, they are staring back atvthem in the mirror.

concrete and steel would be the only to components that wouldn't burn............just imagine to cost of that as steel prices would be ungodly! maybe a "mud" hut, but not suggested where it rains.

ca congress tries to make new bills and laws that do get passed due to no funding for them (mostly bad laws), so where do they go.................taxes on everything firearm related! wa has the same issues. ca's a beautiful state (i've seen most of it) and wish they would make it more about getting their az$es back on track! it shows that their government doesn't care about their citizens regardless of how they vote
