This is both sad and heartbreaking.

I’ve been watching this and can’t believe the total destruction.
Reports are saying that close to 40% of Malibu have been devastated and the Pacific Palisades have been destroyed.

From fire hydrants running out of water to the reports of insurance companies canceling fire policies on customers “after” their homes and businesses have burned to the ground is mind boggling.

And then there are the reports of looting

Yes, very sad situation, but as always the media goes bonkers over the coverage of it, all they do is go over and over the same thing, interview people who’s home and lives were drastically changed with no sympathy at all to them, repeat and repeat the same thing and babble like they know what there talking about, while the people effected just stare…..news media sucks!!

It is heartbreaking, a beautiful state ruined by politicians. It was predicted and could have been avoided with common sense and putting humans ahead of smelt and brush fuel.

I feel for those affected and those that are in/out of danger as the wind changes. Insurance companies I won't get started, living in a Hurricane area they are constantly manipulating coverages.

I'm sure a lot of this was self inflicted and they will be messed up for years. I don't even think the federal government will try to fix the issues. First, when you live around trees clean up the place don't leave years of leaves and pine needles laying around and don't build houses on top of each other. Second don't move to other parts of the country, you already ruined your part don't come and ruin ours. Californians are obnoxious. Just my 2 cents and what I have noticed when they move here.

If you look at the 2024 votes there for President the term “They” is an awful big brush. It was red in the majority other than the metro areas. More so since Reagan!

I have always said that communities get precisely the quality of government/ services they deserve. You vote for it, you live with it. People in the affected area who have never been interested in participating are going to get involved, with a vengeance.
