California complaint guns

These my choices in California it sucks but it is what it is
The top 2 would be my choice, but on the G26, a pinky extension on the magazine makes a big improvement especially if you use the hotter 9mm loads.

It sucks that you are limited, but, you do choose to live there and that is a choice in itself. Not being rude, it just is a choice.

That said, even that abbreviated list from a much longer lists of compliant handguns would provide an acceptable option for practically any handgun need. It's not completely terrible.

6 of those options I could live with. Some better than others but even the bottom of that 6, the Glock, I could eventually get used to.

For concealed carry i woukd personally go P365, Lcr, and Colt. With those three all needs are covered well enough

Lee-Brooke Rail Gun, one of history's earliest railway guns, used by the Confederacy during the American Civil War. it was captured by Union forces at the Siege of Petersburg.

I own the Sig and the Hellcat and love them both for similar and different reasons. The Sig was spot on accurate out of the box, while the HCP needed a bit of tuning. The Sig needed grip extenders to improve the fit and performance, the HCP fit from the start. The Sig can be carried comfortably AlWB, the HCP cannot.

I guess it's more of a three bears story...

I do find the 5.7 tempting though. But, l am conflicted regarding the lethal effectiveness of the ammo. Any insights on this from those of you who own them?

Hi,

For the full list of CA "compliant" handguns, see here:

I really didn't "choose" to live in CA for over 50 years. My family moved there when I was a wee lad. I raised some great kids and had a great career while I was a resident. There was a time when it was The Golden State. That time has passed, which is why I chose to leave the state. Others may not be able to, so I hope they can stay and fight the good fight.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

But you did choose to live there after you turned to an adult. No one forced you to stay. Not saying that is good or bad, not being judgemental, not saying anyone should leave nor stay However, no matter how you decide, staying, leaving, living in any area is a choice. Lots of factors go into a choice, the choice may be very hard to make for any number of reasons. But its still a choice.

When I was late 30s, an opportunity came along to move to Alaska for a great job, a huge move forward in career, one step down from a possible VP of IT type position, VERY hard to say no to. I always wanted to live there, but my wife wanted to stay near her family. We discussed it at length and in the end stayed in Michigan. Disappointing, of course, always wonder how it may have went, hundreds of times. But, it was a choice, I made it for wife's happiness, and lived with it.

My choice..

Us people that live in the free states can say just move.

But think about it. Lets say our state suddenly becomes a blue one and commie rules get put in place.

How hard would it be to just up and move and everything you own and worked for is where you are now.

I know for me it would be very hard. I ain't building another machine gun bunker. 😁
I'm too old to move all my stuff and start over. I'll die here before i move.

You got that right brother

I hate moving. This is the last home I swear. We did use some help with the last couple of moves and was worth every penny. Getting too old for that shi*t. We moved from Illinois in 1985. Hate the cold and Chicago controlled politics. Put everything in a cube van and took off. No jobs, just hoping for the best.
