California family behind $600 million, nationwide catalytic converter theft ring

Venice Beach, used to be fun to go there, not anymore

Culver City, next to the Gun/Pawn shop recently closed. Note that these little city council tyrants do nothing to help the homeless there, their "effort" was to shut down a business

Downtown LA, looking down on them are all the jackass $700/h lawyers preparing their next extortion scheme

Downtown LA, not Skid Row

Watts, which was always kind of a no-no place, don't wear blue shirt or you get shot, but it never looked like Mogadishu, now it does

ah yes..Venice Beach, and the bikini wearing young chicks on roller blades.....

It’s the Law. You don’t tamper with pollution control devices in smog controlled California.

Don’t expect much penalty against the defendants after the plea deal, special circumstances and if CA identity politics has a say.
I’m going to monitor this to see what sentencing they’ll get.

The day-to-day catalytic converter thieves don’t see much of a consequence or ever a federal charge. No fines, no IRS tax evasion, no jail. Even more so is that these cat-thieves are armed and shoot at anyone interrupting them. Seems the Fed is treating this and all cases as merely larceny and inconvenience matter.

Good thing the ringleaders didn’t wind up in NY district court, I hearing they’re darn strict about RICO matters to anyone that dabbles in real estate acquisition.

But if you’re wondering about the many tiers of justice, there’s this…

what's the sense then in anti-pollution laws and regulations then, when so many "get away with it"????

when i ran my garage, if the emission machine was on the whack, and it was due to it being a cheap.."but an acceptable machine to the state regulators", we got our inspection privileges revoked until repairs were made to the machine.

i mean like WTF...

and to top it off, nearly every state here on the east coast (and a few others across the nation) have adopted CA emissions laws/rules/regulations, as thier own.

why follow, when the penalties are lesser than the crimes.??
