To hell with the Mexican stuff.

I bought A LOT of maple syrup. I should have stocked up on tires but that's a lot of cash. I already have a lot of nuts so no worries on Mexican imports there but I'll be upset when ammunition components are more expensive because of the tariffs on lead. Thankfully needing to restock that is a long way off. Hopefully Zeke the Jeep doesn't need any parts for a minute.

If Trump found all the people ripping off the taxpayers and made them pay back every penny to the American people the TDS sufferers would still bitch about it.
Because they are of are friends of people ripping off the taxpayer, through grants, "social programs" or Gov. contracts. We have had Tariffs before there was a US. Tea Tax of 1773 I.E.
"Some of the earliest tariffs are recorded from texts in the 3rd and 2nd millennium BCE. The Old Assyrian trade colony in Anatolia, in the ancient city of Kanesh, was a thriving city that received tin metals and wool and traded precious metals to ancient Assyria in modern day northern Iraq. The trade was taxed by local rulers in Anatolia and along the route of trade in Syria. " DailyHistory.org
DJT/Tariffs= much to do about nothing.

there was some car lot on the news this morning i think in IL
it was a jeep dealer
they had already placed market adjustment tags on the jeeps citing tarrifs.......WT whollly heck
its the covid bump all over ...10k market adjustment on a 30k jeeeepme
Buckle up, because it's coming. I'm very sorry for people in Red states. Those are the ones the Canadian response is targeted toward the most.

It's going to be ugly even if it stays at tariffs. Take a look at retirement accounts and investments, they've been getting hammered. Normally I buy the dip. Not this time.
Never in my life have I seen the US do something where I didn't firmly believe we had the upper hand. For some reason the thought "I really hope this guy knows what he's doing!" keeps lingering in the back of my mind.

Those were the thoughts and concerns I had before last November. Now we're stuck. All we can do now is prepare as best as possible and try to ride this thing out. I replaced as much as I thought needed to be replaced in January and February, hoping I don't need to buy a new car for a couple years. Electronics, tools, etc were reasonable but a new car I don't yet need was too far.

As much as the Dems want to tax firearms, firearms parts and firearms related items the Repubs import tax is going to affect those items almost as much. Are the two parties really different, just two different ways to do the same thing.
No it isn’t.
Turn off your TV dude.

Not even two months into his term and the fearmongering BS is already in full swing. Go on and keep listening to the democrats and their media puppets. You’ll have Gavin Newsome for a president before you know it.

Most economists agree that only a fraction of tariffs get passed on to the customer. Not sure I buy that but that's what they claim. Even so, a 30% increase on a 25% tariff? Somebody is playing games. Fear mongering at best. Remember most countries have high and higher tariffs on US made products. Try buying an American made car in Japan I.E. The American people and the American worker have been getting screwed by (UN)free-trade for 40 or so years and more so since NAFTA. Every penny of increase is going to get blamed on DJT and blown all out of proportion. Yet you have to look far and wide to find the stories of Honda and Nessan, (?) going to build more cars in the US = more jobs. One of the Pharma co. is building four drug manufacturing facilities in the US = again more jobs. Better for the economy.
This is getting too political. I'm Out
