Had these two non running chainsaws so i figured what the heck would a 223 and 308 do to them, so i stepped off 50 yards and let er rip using FMJ ammo.

No, i rarely watch him. i don't watch those reviewers that get their stuff for free. they will never give one a bad review. I mean he's really good with a gun and all, but he's not messin up his gravy train by giving bad reviews on free stuff. there are a few on the tube like that. i WILL watch one where the guy has to buy his own stuff. I know he is a god to some, just not me.

i dunno, i recall Hickok saying a particular gun could have been better a time or two. he gets his stuff from Bud's Gun Shop, not the particular manufacturer, if i recall, so who would he have to appease??

besides, he has to give the guns back to the store, it ain't like he's gonna keep all of them.

what he does do, is "give credit" to the gun shop, for supplying the guns to him, as well as many of the ammo companies that give him the ammo to shoot. i cannot recall him doing "tests" on the ammo, only the guns.

it's when a reviewer gets to keep the product he is testing/reviewing, i'd not put too much stock in what they say, as then, they can lose all that free to keep stuff.

He shot up a multitude of lawnmowers through the years.

He doesn't get free guns from manufacturers, btw. He does get free Ballistol, Federal ammo, targets, suppressors and Talon grip tape though.
 
I figured that would be an unpopular statement. lol yes he gets guns from buds and sends them back, but he still don't pay for them. if he started giving bad reviews on guns bud sends him they wouldn't sell and buds would stop sending them. I trust a guy that has spent his own money to give the truth. i seen hickock make excuses for a gun that needed to be taken off the market. i know people like him and he does seem like a really nice guy, But business and money is another story. i'm sure those videos are a lot of his income. I know S&W sponsors him.

Check out Honest Outlaw, TFB TV, and Paul Harrell as these channels seem the least bias.

I agree I think Hickok45 provides useful reviews. I really like it when he tries to hit the gong with shorter barreled firearms because that's useful information to me. Almost anybody can hit targets when they are close but to be able hit a gong and to be able to see where the rounds are hitting, that's good information.

He is also honest about his biases and such. He laughs at himself which I also like. He reminds me of some the good old boys I've known from Tennessee and Kentucky...:)
