Although I have a lot of confidence in what Gordon Chang has to say, I fear the real threat to this country (war, sabotage, or other bad times) resides much closer to home than to China.

Considering the millions of illegals + "get-aways" there's likely more than some Chinese to worry about.

The news estimated that only 1 in 2 illegals are being processed and that the estimates of 7 million coming in the last 2 years is likely 2X that number.

With more US citizens dying each year from fentanyl than died in VN, Iraq & Afghanistan Wars combined and there's little outrage on that is telling about the clown show that's going on right now.

And the Chicom balloon collected and sent back a lot of intel for the Chicoms to study & plan with as it traveled thousands of miles across the country.

Even if, in some plausible scenario, Chinese saboteurs sneak across the border and commit some dastardly deeds on U.S. soil (which personally, I find far-fetched), it is still far more likely that the next war will happen in the Taiwan Straight. That doesn't mean there may not be other events leading up to it - in fact, there already have been a number of them. Actual wars don't always start in the same location as provocative transgressions that lead up to them.
