Most people ignore the fact that the barrel is one of the most important parts of the AR-15.

For example, barrels made for 5.56 NATO rounds are different from those made for .223 Remington rounds.

Anyway, in this guide, we will examine how to pick the right barrel, and the differences between barrels, gas systems, and others, so by the end of this guide you should have a better understanding of what makes a great AR15 barrel.

Hear, heavy socom or bull should be the better choice for accuracy, but doesn't always hold true. Chamber dimensions can be off enough even with as some would categorize as tier 1 can have issues also. A proper gas system to me is key for reliably, ease on parts and the shooter. With 223/5.56 barrels even gas port size if not sized correctly can cause issues. Like the Rainier Arms link is good as I've been on their site and have read it before. Other barrel makers do something similar on their sites that can be informative and that's good! Thanks for the post @Talyn .
