Cleaning Firearms: Bristling At The Thought?

I've always like cleaning my firearms. One, it gives me valid excuse to be left alone for a while by the other members of my family.....cough cough...my wife....cough cough....lol, but I do enjoy breaking them down, cleaning them and oiling them back up. I like the smell of Hoppe's #9 so much I'd wear it as cologne if they made it...lol. I especially like cleaning my AR15 as it takes a while and I know keeping it clean definitely makes a difference in its performance.

I could have honestly written the same paragraph.

These pump rifles need to be clean to run well and are taken down frequently to do so. Some folks take the stock off, hose them, oil them and blow them out, but I find that disassembly is my preference to getting them to run well.
