Got this accidently a few months ago instead of the Condor Australian Army machete I had ordered. The intent was to try and replace the Marine Corps hospital knife I have used for brush clearing, blind building and a general camp knife for another 30 years. My hands are growing arthritic and it is just too heavy. So I was going to try the Australian blade. When I got this instead my first instinct was to send it back, but it had a serious upgrade in sheath from the other.
The blade by soecs is lighter weight than what I had ordered but still seems like a nice tool. I have used it to clear brush on the homestead for a couple months now and it has performed admirably. Have not tried it at blind and fire building yet. That will be the real test. I do luke how the sheath strap and carry is reversible for a left hander.
