Uuummm that article was from 2015 . Just saying. However , they are allowed to keep firearms in their office with capitol police approval.

The guy that wrote the article started out great then called the AR15 an
“Assault Rifle” that’s when I stopped reading.

Think I get it too?
To me "Assault" is a possible intention - NOT a rifle, any rifle or weapon.
But, knowing what they may mean and their likely intentions helps describe an unfortunate ignorance too?
