The idea of the “2011” style is quite appealing… but I think (imho) it’s not there yet. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great concept for competitive/range shooting. However for me it falls short in the edc conceal category. That extended flared mag well and the mags baseplate that sticks out looks unsightly. Like all the effort and ideas were spent by the time they got round the bottom of the grip and gave up.
I think the direction Springfield (and other manufacturers) should be moving in is using the grip module for the Hi Power (SA35) and reshape the slide to closer resemble our beloved 1911…
