I seen this and immediately thought of @HayesGreener . he does some nice woodworking. be nice for moving tables around to clean up.

i just use those nylon/poly moving pads that have rubber/foam on the furniture side. works on all fixed surfaces. i've used it on items that weigh 400-500#. however that is a clever idea on the vid btw.

That's a cool solution to moving heavy benches. My main workbench weighs hundreds of pounds and I use huge casters to move it but I'm planning another assembly table and this is an option.

i must have had at the very least, a half dozen of those jacks in my basement....all in working condition, all tossed to the curb on trash days.

Wow, that's an overly complex solution.

Retractable casters offer the same sort of option at likely the same cost (especially if you value your time). But you can't say you designed it yourself, either.

Not really a DIY thing. I mean I am a guy with tools and skill and welders and this would be a hell of a lot more time consuming and difficult than the video makes it look. A regular joe with some saws in his garage has zero chance of completing this project successfully.
