Contrast that to yesterday here in Chicago.
Police go to a domestic violence disturbance between a previously arrested 56 yr old felon and his 77 yrs old mother.
The assailant resisted arrest, failed to comply with dropping a knife, fought with police and then stood over one of the downed officers and began slashed his arms, sustaining injuries. The second officer “tried” to subdue and stop the assailant using a baton.

This story content was edited by both of the major local rags to omit that the violent armed assailant was “standing over the officer” using deadly force. But the full account was published by an independent news outlet. Both articles are below:
