Not a bad article. It does however shortchange the CMSA (Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association) which a very exciting part of cowboy shooting by only mentioning SASS. https://www.cmsaevents.com/home/

For the record, I'm a Life Member of both, but no longer shoot in competition. I preferred the mounted shooting because it also requires a high level of horsemanship abilities as well as shooting abilities.

This is very much of a family activity and a great way to get young folks involved in the shooting sports.
