Didn’t know that about the firing pin plate, good to know, thanks for the info!Nice customized SA-35.
BTW: The authors says...Thanks to updated engineering and careful manufacturing, the magazine safety is gone,
The facts are removing the magazine safety (a 5-10 min. job) has nothing to do with updated engineering and careful manufacturing.
BTW2: Note to users. The BHP firing-pin retaining-plate is a "wear-item", whereas it will eventually fail with high round counts as well as dry-firing. If the retaining plate metal hardness is too high that will happen faster.
The firing pin plate eventually fatiguing is one of the idiosyncrasies of the BHP design.Didn’t know that about the firing pin plate, good to know, thanks for the info!
Ok, my SA-35 isn’t working out for me, to many issues, tried a stronger RS, different ammo, still issues, very disappointed in it, may be taking it down to trade off, it’s just not reliable enough for meThe firing pin plate eventually fatiguing is one of the idiosyncrasies of the BHP design.
BHSS pointed that out in their SA-35 review vid series,
Contact BHSS & discuss with them.Ok, my SA-35 isn’t working out for me, to many issues, tried a stronger RS, different ammo, still issues, very disappointed in it, may be taking it down to trade off, it’s just not reliable enough for me

Mine is in the 14,000 serial number range.no issues with the Girsan clone....(i am not sure if the S/A mags will fit however)
not that i have one, but when i dumped my SA-35, it was a near perfect as possible (high-er serial # like over 6,000) , i just tired of it rather quickly.
All the original & look-alike BHP types use the same mags.no issues with the Girsan clone....(i am not sure if the S/A mags will fit however)

ok, cuz when i had mine, i bought Hi Power mags, i cannot recall any stampings of mfg.All the original & look-alike BHP types use the same mags.
SA-35 mags bought from SA are just Mecgar BHP mags with SA stamped on them.
Wow so glad that worked for youHad nothing to do today, so I watched some of the videos @Talyn was talking about from BHP, the one about the extractor spring hole had me curious, so I took mine down and did find some burrs around the spring hole and around the extractor slot, so I cleaned them up. Took gun to range after this, and the gun performed great, no more erratic ejections, no FTF, worked great. Going to get a new spring as well as a new ejector form them as spares. Thanks. @Talyn for the BHP site.
