Cz 75SP01 or Cz75B

javbike

Hellcat
I don’t know much about them I handle both feels great . Which one would you choose. I want one soon these are the two available to me in California thanks

I have the SP01 Tactical & the 75B, both are good choices. The SP01 Tac has night sights (SP01 doesn't) and the 75B has glow in the dark sights. It depends on what you want them for, home defense or range toy. The SP01 obviously has the rail for light/laser and with added weight out front it has less muzzle rise but the 75B has the old time style and the difference in muzzle rise is almost unnoticeable since they both shoot extremely well with so little felt recoil it's amazing. I guess it just comes down to which one just feels like the right one? Or do like I did and get one of each.

Something else you might consider. I also have an IWI Jericho 941 FS9, it is the medium size all steel version, the F9 is the full size. It has the manual safety like the 75B & the SP01 (SP01 Tac has decocker) and while I am not parting with either of the CZs if I had to choose between the 3, I would pick the Jericho over the 2 CZs. All 3 have the slide within the frame and all 3 use the same magazine. After having shot all of them about equally and all 3 are great shooters, I still prefer the Jericho over the others. So for what it's worth I thought I'd pass that along.

Personally I would go with the p01 compact rail model. It's compact and could be used for CC easier. It passed the Nato rounds failure test and was Nato certified. Aluminum frame is lighter for all day carry, hey those ounces add up, especially as you get older. 15 vs 16 rounds in the 75B is basically a wash to me.

It's not too small to shoot very well or use as a duty pistol So I would simply go smaller as it would be a bit more versatile for me.

I prefer the aesthetics of the 75B (or Omega). It's almost as much of an icon as a 1911, HP, Model 10 or Model 29. At my age, I like the tried and true such as these.
I understand that and agree. I had the 75B out last week and as always it was a pleasure to shoot. I don't shoot +P in it, not that it can't take it but I leave the hotter rds to the Jericho.

I’m an SP01 guy.
I like the aesthetics of the squared off barrel front end vs the B model cut out like the Hi-Power look.
Both are highly regarded guns. Just depends on you and your needs

Thanks guys I will make my choice soon will update thanks much
i went to the range this morning, and took 100 rd of 9mm....and the 75B Omega

this is from 1 target, and all my shots, as the other target, i had the RSO try it out.....as with my other 75B, it was a blast to shoot.

Nice shooting my man

Nice shooting my man

thanks

i am getting better (slowly) with the 9mm's as with the 45's.

i find it "easier" as anyone would, to handle the recoil of an all metal gun, over a polymer one.

which is why i don't have too many plastic guns.

they serve a purpose, like my Hellcat, for ccw for sure, as i'd not wanna have my pants fall down, carrying a 1911...lol

i just have way more fun shooting all my 45's, so naturally, i practice more with those, over the 9's...

but, with 2 near identical Beretta 92 FS's, now 2 nearly identical CZ's, practicing more with my 9's will be happening...

then too, i gotta kick things into high(er) gear to reload more 9's.

1 more thing to note, and i think it may be very important is that NONE OF MY CZ's, shoot reloaded ammo...!!

whether they be store bought (and i have bought reloaded ammo form 2 different places), or my own...

NONE of my CZ's, either my 97B (45 ACP), nor my 2, 75B's.......will shoot reloaded ammo..

its not the ammo, but the guns...they are most certainly finicky eaters, where as any of my Glocks (i have 3), will eat anything.

and BOTH my Beretta 92 FS's WILL SHOOT MY reloads or store bought reloads...!!!!!!!

case in point, yesterday i took my last box of MY reloaded 9mm...all specs were from the Lyman book...all measurements were spot on.

i had several failures, i think about 10.....

the RSO, shot all those in his Sig.....no issues.

he ended up using up all my reloaded 9mm ammo, which was ok, but i know for a fact, my Glock 17 would have shot them, and begged for more...

so it's a CZ issue, with reloads, they just do not shoot'em

and that's all 3 CZ's that i have, and that's NO MATTER where i get my reloads, or make up my own..........

the CZ's act like a 2 year old, and spit them out and yell out ...NO...NO....NO......
