SAINT
ok, so i took my above gun to the club Friday morning. shot as well as expected. 50 rds store reloaded, and 50 rds S&B new. both 230 grain, the diet it's been on since i bought it in June of 2020. the gun hadn't been used since about October. the CZ has of now, 1,500 rounds thru it.
get it home to do the usual field stripping and cleaning. but the dang hammer will not move? i can only get it back a partial way, not fully locked back? and as such, the slide cannot move back to be removed..
i'm like WTF is this all about, did i break something??
well, i finally get the slide off, look inside, but frankly on first look, i see nuffin wrong.
i try the trigger, and watching everything, and then i see the trigger bar, hitting the "magazine spring screw"...but i have no idea what that screw is for. so i slowly tighten it, till it stops. the gun reassembles like no tomorrow, the hammer pulls back all the way like it should.
so some researching, gets me the information i need, an d a good video from "some guy" says that CZ either stakes that screw or puts Loctite on it.....
well NEITHER was done to that screw, much like the tiny allen screw that is for the "loaded chamber indicator block"...
i had previously fixed that, cuz if you lose that tiny allen screw...?? you're screwed......BACK to CZ......,!!!!!
here is a website picture,
and here is the screw
in between doing the laundry, and making lasagna for a family gathering Sunday, i got this taken care of.
but jeez Louise, some of these 97B's just do not get, or did not get loctite, on the important parts that are "prone" to vibrate loose...
and NO, the CZ gun company...is NOT in Turkey......
