My uncle was there and so was my father. Uncle was US Ranger and my father was a german soldier! Funny how it all turned out. My father was Lithuanian not german.

My Dad also landed at Omaha Beach and never mentioned it until just before he went home. Never talked about the war.
I was privileged to grow up in a neighborhood of War II veterans many of whom would share stories.
God Bless them for their fight against tyranny. They held back the darkness a little longer. God Bless our military.
