Went out this afternoon with the idea to pick up my wife a valentine present. We normally don't do valentines but I thought this year would be different.

So I am driving along when the car dies and refuses to start so, I look around and I happen to be in front of my local gun shop so I go in and the owner comes out to give me a jump, but the dang car started right up, so, embarrassed I go in and buy some targets and various cleaning supplies.

So then I get back on my way. I jump on the freeway heading down to this little chocolate shop I know of. Then the car started wobbling back and forth like the front end was gonna fall off so I pull off highway and do a quick inspection everything fine. I look up and there was Cabelas so I run in real quick for some Herters 9mm range ammo , the p365xl likes it real well.

So I get back in car and was so shook up over the way the car was acting I turned wrong way and headed home without thinking. So almost home when I remembered the valentines gift. So I pulled into the closest store to me.

She looked underwhelmed when I handed her the bag of steaks , the ammo and supplies and said happy early valentines. I will take mine rare on the 14th...

I gotta get me a new car .

Don't know how old your rig is but like us things wear out.

I put $6K into my rig (29 yo) last year fixing "old-age" stuff & it runs like new now. Planning on some cosmetic upgrades this year.

Still sounds like you have a couple issues that will happen again so your car is likely telling you that it needs some work before it really konks out.
 
Tire wear will tell you everything you need to know about your front end. Turning your wheel all the way 1 direction to check isn't the best way. Leave them straight and look from bumper side. When my son had an accident 2 or 3 years ago i told the body shop to do an alignment check. The didn't and it almost cost him another very bad accident. Both front tires could've blown at the same time. Big reason we save the better tires when doing full replacements. I didn't do many alignments, but know enough. They argued about what I told them and they said it was a "toe" issue. Well i was correct!I usually get caster and camber backwards which is why I ask before I get further into the convo.

there are spray cleaners just don't use one for the other, each is different.

that's the cheap way to see if either is/was the issue.
