So, I'm interested in some good, day/night, preferably glow-in-the-dark sights, for my XDs EDC. I'm trying to decipher the different levels of the Tru-Glo sights...
Only some of them say "glows in the dark".
TFX-PRO has a ring around the front sight; does that glow in the dark as well?
Do they all?
What's the difference between TFX, TFX-pro, and Tritium-pro? The writeups all look the same to me...just different wording for same/similar features?
The way they do their graphics, it almost makes it look like they have a glow/tritium dot at the front end of the fiber optic tubes along with the 'sunroof' to let ambient light in, to light the fiber optics...is that the case? Or is that just the way they do their product images?
Is (forgive me) "tritium" another word for "glows in the dark"? Or does it need to be light-recharged in order to glow? I've done a lot of stage and theatre work where we use "glow tape", but it needs occasional recharges under light, in order to glow again; is tritium eternal-glow, or does it need recharging?
I have an instant-on laser on my XDs...but I want to have the best possible iron backups I can, in case the laser doesn't light when I draw for some reason, when I need it most.
