"...allows indefinite retention of NICS data,..."

Convenient for them when they start their push to totally eradicate the 2A. Anyone that voted for and supports the possibly incoming administration is part of the problem and not the solution...imo.

I wonder if these would be a good option for home defense vs a handgun. Oops, let me stay on topic.

We have several threads on the subject. Conventional wisdom these days is AR or AR pistol. I am down with that, but being a pragmatic kinda guy I like to not limit myself and I have some shotguns around too. Personally I think as long as you hit the range for some training and to make damn sure there are no malfunction issues with the TS-12 it would be a fantastic option. In fact it's my primary motivation for purchasing one. It will replace my old 18" Mossberg 500 as my primary HD shotgun.

PSA has had them in stock for over a month. I am hoping they still have them when I get my bonus on the 27th.

I hate to pay $1500 for it when it was $1300 a few months ago, but it is what it is I guess.

No doubt the political climate has given rise to that jump over the MSRP. Still, given the Tavor's firepower and quality, it's worth even more than the inflated $1500.

I have been going back and forth between the IWI and the SRM for about a year now. The SRM holds one more round and is made in the US. It is never available though. Also it's usually up around $1900. I have no problem paying $1500 for the Tavor, I just hope my luck holds out and PSA still has them in a couple weeks when I get the expendable cash.

Democrats in Congress have unveiled the "ATF Improvement and Modernization Act."

The proposal allows for the indefinite retention of NICS data, puts licensed gun dealers under increased scrutiny, opens the books on firearms trace data to anti-gun researchers, and increases funding to the BATFE.

Good post Talyn, thanks for sharing it, first I saw of the proposals intent and language.

The way things keep going, we all will be sitting around the camp fire bragging of the day when we could buy a Tavor for ONLY $1500.00 and the good old days when you could pick up a box of 9mm for just $50.00  Ahhhhh the good old days.
