Dish Soap Method of Rattle Can Camo

I've actually painted a couple rifles using this method.

I've used the laundry bag, reverse masking, and organic masking methods.

They've all proved their effectiveness, but............

Until the paint "wears in", and by that I mean, wears off the high wear areas, and high spots, the finish contrast is unnaturally bright.

While a useful method, I'll stick with one that doesn't require high pressure water to remove the masking agent.

I will keep my gun finishes stock, not gonna take a can of Krylon to my RAM either. To each their own, no hate in either camp, just not my cup of tea.

Cerakote is too permanent and doesn't wear unless it's applied "distressed ". And that's just an effect done during application.
I was no fan of sprayed on finishing over the standard treatment until I painted my first one.
Krylon Ultra Flat, and Rustoleum Camouflage sprays are the best there is, especially after the wear in period.
