this woke BS, i am sorry to say, should bury Disney.

my family and i have never been to Disney Land, or Disney World, or Epcot...

nearly all of my adult kids been there with thier kids however. told me of long wait times, and cost. just for those 2 tings alone, they haven't been back.

here is Disney's BS...

I saw an article not long ago saying that Disney's mainstay, animated movies, are flopping bad. They've become so woke, that audiences don't want to see them anymore.
you know, was a time the WHOLE family sat in front of the tv on a sunday night, to watch Disney.

even then, the tv commercials weren't too bad, and short, unlike todays commercial breaks coming in at about 4 minutes in duration, then what, all of 12 minutes of the movie.

we all enjoyed the old Disney network channel, and the basic non-violent or at least, no blood shed movies.

yeah, many were so corny back then, but its what we had, and many of us watch these days still.

only about 3% is owned by actual Disney family

the rest..??

Who technically owns Disney?

The ownership structure of Walt Disney (DIS) stock is a mix of institutional, retail and individual investors. Approximately 36.59% of the company's stock is owned by Institutional Investors, 8.46% is owned by Insiders and 54.95% is owned by Public Companies and Individual Investors.

Does the Disney family still own Disney?

Disney Family Net Worth: Meet the Family Behind the Media ...

Abigail's brother, Roy P., said in an interview that by 1960, Walt and Roy O. owned about 20% of the company. Today, the family owns less than 3% of the company. Roy P. is an investor, according to the interview.Dec 16, 2020

In all honesty, Disney cartoons sucked, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, etc, all were not funny or very entertaining, all were very lame, Disney theme parks are just money grabbers, never been to one, never wanted to go to one when I was a youngin. And since they took over the Marvel franchise, those movies now suck! Just my thoughts

I agree. When I was very young I have memories of going out to my grandfather's farm in Winfield every Sunday and riding horses or hunting. 6 PM came around and we would be in front of the TV watching "Wonderful World of Disney". Which was almost never cartoons. It was movies like Apple Dumpling Gang, Escape From Witch Mountain, etc. That stuff was okay. I was never into Disney cartoons and the one time my folks took us to Disneyland none of us were impressed. Very large, very expensive and the rides were nowhere near as cool as the ones at Six Flags which was a half hour away and 1/3rd the price.

the attraction to Disneyland, was due in part to the notoriety to the tv show and movies.

so people clammored there for various reasons, connected to those.

Disneyland and World do have many, many things to see, and of course, the lines can be "miles long"..i'll be damned if i stand in any line longer than 3 people ahead of me.....i know how to walk away.

Six Flags did not have a tv show, or produce movies.

neither did Knotts Berry Farm, Sea World, Busch Gardens.

they were at the time cheaper indeed, and most likely, no long lines for the rides.
