DIY PVC Target Stands: Cheap Stands for the Home Range

I am the guy who welds all the target stands at my club. And I am plenty busy. Those wouldn't last 2 days. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
I think this is mostly for the guy who brings his own stand to go shooting, it’s easy to transport, my club has a few steel ones, but nobody repairs them, plus there is no range officers, so here you bring your own or you can shoot the steel plates if you want.

yup at my last club that was me, go down on monday and rebuild or replace all the wood that was blown off the steel
then put up new cardboard
we had well pump rod for the across range bar to hold the 3/8 plate that had wood screwed to them
i laughed out loud ALOT as the holders at the 15 foot mark were always the worse for wear, holes shot right through the tubes or 3/8 plate hangars and cardboard practically clean

We don't have range officers I just keep the target shack stocked with target stands I weld pieces of chain link fence post with a piece of flat stock on top to the bottom of the posts. Then those slip into slightly larger pieces of chain link fence post I have concreted into the ground at 12, 25, 50, 100 and 200 yards. Several at each distance. The top of the target stands are pieces of C channel with 24" in between the uprights for ceiling tiles to slip in. Or you can tape cardboard on them. Then tack targets to.

Lots of people are bad shots because they shoot the crap out of the posts.

I bought a couple of steel feet/holders from CDNN, and use 2x2s for the frame, cardboard in between and adhesive targets, works for me.

all good ideas, depending on where one goes. There is some rules now if we go out to the deserts, park rangers will come by and make sure you aren't using any metal, anywhere. All plastic or wood.

I've made a few of those with a little different pipe arrangement. Mine are still intact despite my best efforts to the contrary.
