DIY Target holders for the Outdoor Range

EL LOBO

Custom
I went to Harbor Freight and came across some plastic foldable Sawhorses by Central Machinery on sale for 8.99 US and thought about using them as Target holders at the range. I shot some with 5.56 mm, 7.62mm, 9mm,22lr, and the plastic is almost self-healing leaving just a tiny hole in the plastic so they will withstand the target range, I use Pizza box lids and cardboard boxes as backing to attach the targets with a staple gun. and here it is. El Lobo DIY target holder. I take 4 of these out to the Farm and use them at 60, 100,300,500 yards for rifle practice and it was well worth the price. I use a large zip tie to hold the backing in place by drilling 4 small holes in the plastic sawhorse top & bottom corners and put a small slit in 4 corners of the cardboard. They also can be elevated with cinder blocks, blocks of wood, rebar on each side, or old metal fence/ signposts on each side. I place a stack of 4 old tires behind each one them for a backstop for safety you can use the old tire stack to elevate them as well.

Not a half bad idea. Personally I like targets to be chest level tho.
