down to my last Springfield

Old_Me

SAINT
oh well, sold my Ronin this morning...that makes my Hellcat, the last surviving Springfield in my armory.

now on to the arduous task of rearranging my 3 ring binder (log book) to fill in those empty tab labels.....

i have been "eyeing" the Smith & Wesson Pro-Series 1911's, in 45 ACP of course, and frankly, i like the looks of the 9mm model as well.

but 1 thing at a time, first gotta tackle that log book.

well, that didn't take as long as i thought it would...

the "rearranged" log book

may I ask why your dumping your Springfields?
no particular reason, i am "dumping" many of my guns, as i don't use them as much as others, so why keep them..??

they are not special or collectables, so they won't be any more valuable in the next 5 to 10 years, as they are now for me to cash'em in.

just happened to be, that today, when i woke up?

i said to myself.........."self, dump the Ronin"......

just happened to be my next to last of the brand.....

still contemplating dumping the Hellcat, for a Sig 365 in the near future.

as a side note, many of my dumped guns have had less than 800 rounds thru them....so the new owner will get a gun that was not overly used, but well maintained.

Same here.
I am selling off my Glock collection.
I’ll keep Gen 3 and Gen 5 17 and 19; 4 total.
Selling a few revolvers too.

Where are you selling these guns ?

Where are you selling these guns ?
back at the LGS where i bought them.....even IF i didn't buy them there, that's where i go.

i had done the consignment BS, who can pass the background check, who can't....leaves me in a lurch till the next buyer...screw that BS.

i don't wish to wait for my money.

no one i want to sell to personally, i don't wanna hear their BS on pricing..."oh we're buddies, can't you do better than that"..??? BS.

like when i get rid of my cars...off to the dealerships, trade'em in, be done with them....no private sale.....

no hassles.

i ain't about to go online either, way too much BS to go thru selling online..

nope, done deal going back to the LGS.

I am really liking my S&W 1911 PC pictured on the right. It is a shooter! If I were to carry it, I would change the sights. For now I am carrying the SIG STX

oh yeah, i still got my STX, and my S&W E, and my 2 Dan Wessons, the Colt Competition, and the Remington R1S.

so 6-1911's....(all in 45 ACP)

then i have my CZ 97B, and S&W MP 2.0 both 45's

all very good guns

then my 9mm's, and revolvers, and .22's

it's been getting crazy in a way, to keep the log book, on range trips, cleanings, and not taking one gun more than another. as a result it can be months before a gun gets to the range...i am cutting down the herd

i only reload what i shoot, and i wish not to have anymore different calibers.

but i "do see" in my future, a 1911 in 45 ACP that S&W Pro-Series...maybe one in 9mm as well

each gun, no matter the caliber???

$1,600

in line with the prices of the DW's and the Sig.
