Drawbacks on a DA Revolver

Well I'm gray headed and I carried a revolver again today ( Model 36 S&W ) . I also took the rubber grips that were on the gun when I bought it off and put wooden grips back on.

I'm funny like that.

I started out with a DA/SA revolver. My first handgun purchase when I turned 21 carried it for a couple years before I got my first semi. Still love to shoot them. And I still have it.

Just like most of the responders to this thread I cut my teeth on DA revolvers. My hair is gray and I carried DA revolvers on and off duty to over 20 years. I still own a half dozen or so. I learned to shoot using a S&W Model 15 .38 SPL Combat Masterpiece. Once I became a sworn officer I purchased a S&W Model 19 .357 Mag Combat Magnum. I carried it or a Dan Wesson .357 Mag Model 15 until my department transitioned to the Sig Sauer P226 9MM and then to the Sig P226 in 40 S&W. I still think I am a bit more accurate with a revolver over a semi-auto pistol. I agree with everything the author states in the article. Just my 2 cents. 😁
