Drop gun an it discharged

Today I was wear my Hellcat in my Safariland locking holster. Should’ve had it on my working tool belt because it didn’t fit to well.
So as I was walking it came off my work belt an hit the porch I was walking on an discharged, it cracked the holster and came out the holster but didn’t discharge the casing?? but THANK GOD no one got hurt..
Yes I keep a rd in the chamber.
But No understanding why it discharged?? Scared the He!! Out of me, I definitely was thankful no one got hurt or killed

well your first mistake was you KNEW the holster did not fit right on the belt, but you basically ignored that, to get to the job site.

did you have any trigger work done to it?

or ANY modifications to the gun at all...?

the only other thing i can think of is, that the holster somehow had been touching the trigger

Your right about wearing it there, but hood I was working in is a little shady
 
Think you should get ahold of Springfield about the discharge, did you do a trigger upgrade or anything?

You’re gonna want to contact both Springfield & Safariland, and they’ll likely both want to inspect their products.

Just to be clear—since it was on a worksite, there was no way any debris, etc could’ve gotten inside the holster?
No i inspected the holster and gun and as well as where it hit the ground

I did afterwards,
It discharged inside the holster because the empty casing didn’t eject, but I found the gun lying on the ground
