the range i go to, the public one, has installed these target holders, that you insert the target, snap it shut, send out the target xx number of feet you want, then start shooting.

well i use 15x 15 paper targets, and now, they are like up to the ceiling high, and i am a short person at 5' 9"

so the further out i sent it...7.5 to 9 yards, it seems to go higher and higher....

today of all days, i took my Hellcat to dump all of the hollow points so i can replace them with new ones..

i was shooting at the dam ceiling.....!!!!!!!

now, i did not clean or lube my gun, and have to go to my club in the morning, and just shoot a box 115 grain ammo.

and ya wanna know what..??

ALL those "new" target holders in ALL 12 lanes, had more holes than 42 Swiss cheese blocks.

they had to cut squares into them, to mount them in the carrier......this is what makes them ride higher....

in the video below, it shows them being clipped to the carrier, not my range.>!!!!!

I used to use these at my previous range to save money on targets and never had any issue. I do not use them anymore because I know the range can use the extra income from me purchasing their targets.
the issue is, the target carrier does not have a lower clip, as in the video. they had to cut out a section of this new POS, and fit it over the carrier, raising it, and the targets it's supposed to hold.. the target carrier my range has, it was made for cardboard target holders, that hang lower than this POS

as a result, all targets are higher than normal.

your range must have had an extension to make the targets lower.

we got guys that use paper plates.....if i had a issue hitting my target, i can only imagine what they will go thru.
