Echelon for California?

I heard rumors that the Echelon may hit the California rooster this year. Any truth to this? I really want one but if it isn't going to happen, then most likely will get a Shadow System or M &P 2.0 Full size.

Welcome to the forum! As a CA escapee I know the roster can be quite frustrating. Recent court rulings have helped loosen the criteria but it's still restricted. I bought the original XD9 service pistol while I was living there.

I don't know what red tape is involved with getting a firearm on the roster but perhaps an email to Springfield marketing would let us know if they have any plans.

Springfield is very stingy with release info. Unless those rumors come from a very close contact to Springfield, they’re just rumors.

I have no proof but I would not be surprised to see the Echelon get on the roster this year or next year max, it looks like it took the Hellcat quite awhile to get added, so my guess its more of a matter of when for the Echelon, not if it will get added.

You could always get something you want now but for fwiw, I would also get the Echelon once its available, I wanted HK or Walther originally for a full size, but the Echelon won me over after trying all of them multiple times. Maybe you can get a FF shadow or MP like you said, and then get the compact Echelon when its available.
