I prefer hold over.
Reason is animals on the run. Guess which animal
I know where i’ll hit at 100 yards.
I’ll hold over and adjust as needed for shorter or longer distances. No time for dials when they can be gone in 10 seconds
I concur with @KillerFord1977! With that being said how much time would you have too really dial in for moving target anyway? If it's reoccurring/repetitious the I would dial in for that at long distance if reticle allows it.
The built in range finders/windage bars are hard to beat, particularly in high end military optics.
Depends. The speed of the target/terrain/how long will the target be in view/what is your skill/confidence level, do you regularly practice dialing in and can you do it by feel without losing your sight picture? It can be done, but generally, can be done better with hold. Rapid follow up shots with changing distances/windage is not so easy on dial.
