Everytown Decries: Open Carry Loophole.....Calls for a Nationwide Ban

I’ve said this in another thread. Connecticut, no constitutional carry. Carry only concealed with a permit.
If you open carry and someone sees it and reports you to law enforcement you loose your gun and permit usually for a year.

Now I’m not saying I agree with that hence why I live in Kentucky now.

Texas was until January 1st 2016 concealed carry only with a permit.
Now open carry (with) a concealed carry permit only.

Kentucky is a constitutional carry state, residents of Kentucky can open and conceal carry without a permit or any training. And the shooting and killing of people in Kentucky is outrageous.

I’m rambling I know, I believe in my constitutional right to carry any way I want, open or concealed, I prefer concealed. However I believe in training. And that is what is lacking.

An armed society is a polite society.

Bloomberg and his minions don't want polite. They want riots. Unrest. Fear. Power.

When people fear their government, there is tyranny. When the government fears its people, there is liberty.

We moved from the Louisville area in '96, to the western part of the state (job related). Much more peaceful here, less traffic, cost of living (housing) is cheaper than the metro area. Gun problems (anti-2A or gun-related incidents) is pretty much nil here.

Oh, and I only open carry at the range, or when walking the pup at night. Semi-rural area, meaning there are houses around us, but corn fields and farms close-by.

Sounds interesting. What types of industries/manufacturers are in the area?
I’m always looking to improve my situation and I’ll be honest Louisville is starting to worry me with the crime/shootings rate.

On another note are there any outdoor ranges in the are you live in?

Not a lot, except for GE (aviation related) and people get hired there and usually only leave through attrition (retirement or death) from what I ubderstand. The biggest employers besides them would be the school system, or the coal mines. Oh, and there's a Land of Frost (lunchmeat) plant. The only outdoor range nearby is the one I belong to ($45 annual fee), and it's 13 miles from my house. Covered area with benches (6 or 7), for rifle and pistol. Separate pistol-only section. Porta-potty if you need a restroom. Members have the combination to the gate, and it's self-serve. No RO/SO on-site. They do hold various competitions (rifle/pistol) on scheduled weekends.
