I agree djthumper. I replaced my 9mm Shield's base plate with the Pearce Grips base plate that allowed 2 extra rounds. To date, I've had no issues with it, but it's no longer my outside the house EDC carry, (only inside the house).

I keep thinking that I need to keep the XD at home and stick the Shield 9 into my Vaultek. But having 48 rounds in with it just seems so much more appealing.
