There will be others. Chin up, man. You’ll be okay.

It's true. I was looking for a late 80s Ampeg SVT II non pro for about 3 years. I finally found one in CA. and had a deal worked out with the seller when Justin Meldal Johnson ( Beck's bass player, former NIN bass player) bought it out from under me. I was pissed. He made some smart ass comment like " Oh, like it's the last one in the world". Jerk.

Anyway, about a year after that I found one about 20 miles away. Some old hippie had it in his garage. He wanted $900. I didn't haggle. It's the most responsive and dynamic bass amp in the world and of all the SVTs it comes the closest to the old Magnavox era tone. $300 in mods, $600 in NOS Russian glass and it gives me wood every time I turn it on.

Moral of the story. It's true, it's not the last one in the world. God I hate that guy. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

My uncle has a completely restored Gremlin.

those were a PITA to replace the valve cover gaskets. in fact, i think many of the AMC cars had that issue. i had to remove the thru bolt in the motor mounts and drop the engine onto the front crossmember to get that dang valve cover off.

all for (back then) $10.00 hour labor rate.

the engine (in line 6) was really tucked under the cowl

gimme a gold ole slant 6, or any Ford/Chevy inline 6, over any AMC.....
