Favorite Christmas shows anyone?

Tis the time of year for a myriad of Christmas movies and shows. Any favorites?

I will admit to being a nut over A Christmas Carol, in all its versions from Mickeys Christmas Carol, Mr Magoos, to Patrick Stewart version the movie and one man show version both, even the very old silent movie version which is hard to find. The only one I have not liked was last year's very dark remake. I also read the book every year.

So far have watched like 10 versions this year, I never really count them up.

I will also admit to a laughing love of Mr Hankey...

Every Christmas I watch the Musical
(Jesus Christ Superstar)
Being in many musical’s including having the lead in many in my youth. Musicals are a major part of my life, the music and choreography are just incredible.
That was a good movie and one of the few musicals I liked. Maybe Eddie and the Cruisers, oh and Paint your wagon, cannot forget that one lol.

i cannot really like make-overs or do-overs of the originals.

i really do not like "colorized" movies when they were done in black and white. the directors could have made them in color, but using techniques like lighting, and the use of shadows, are totally taken away when a movie is colorized. if i recall, Ted Turner's movie people are responsible for that farce.

in no special order

1) It's a Wonderful Life

2) A Christmas Story (Red Rider BB gun)

3) A Christmas Carol, the original black and white version.

4) The Wizard of Oz, (Judy Garland)

I used to enjoy the annual David Letterman Christmas shows. Over the years, Dave and his friends built a strong tradition, and I wouldn't really consider it Christmas until I'd seen the following four rituals:

1. Paul Shaffer singing "Oh Holy Night" in an amazing Cher impression.

2. Jay Thomas telling the Clayton Moore/Lone Ranger story--hilarious every single time!

3. Dave and Jay Thomas knocking the meatball and Empire State Building model off the top of the Christmas tree with footballs.

4. Darlene Love singing "Baby Please Come Home." :)

I'm sure there are several of these shows on Youtube, for anyone who hasn't seen one.
