Finally, the weather was nice, no heavy winds and partly cloudy skies. Took the VP9SK out again and put 150 rounds thru it. Had to get rid of some older Winchester white box. The HK ate them all up with no problems. Every time i shoot the HK's I get a smile on my face and my blood pressure lowers. A great way to start the day!

Waiting on pics, in the meantime

Fantastic! Sure, pix would be nice. ;)

On the advice of a friend (ahem, @Bassbob) I've been eyeballing the VP9 series. I'm not really a fan of anything less than a 4" barrel. Are the larger models, the VP9 or the "L" or the tactical models, also well recommended? I ask because my frame allows me to carry other than a 3.5" barrel. ;) Plus, I'm really lousy with short barrels, or should I say "lousier". :ROFLMAO:

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I know what you mean...about the Winchester white box. I have too much of that to dump, and both of my HKs eat it up. They don't care...not fussy! And shooting them IS a great stress reliever! I was going to hit the range this morning but life got in the way so I definitely am going next week. I am waaaay overdue. Any day at the range is a GOOD day! ;) :)

I have to say that the VP9 is my favorite pistol right now. The VP9SK is awesome also, but (even with my small hands) the VP9 feels better. I can't explain it. They both shoot marvelously. I highly recommend (for what it's worth ;)) the VP9. I thought I had died and gone to Heaven when I shot the M&P 2.0, trigger wise. The VP9 went all over that and then some. And I love the ambidextrous mag release. You wouldn't go wrong investing in one, IMHO.

Thank you. That's one of the things I really love about all my XD pistols, the ambi mag release. It's so easy to keep my grip and use my trigger finger to drop the mag when performing a reload. I will see what models of the VP9 are at the range the next time I go. I might as well take advantage of the free rentals. ;)

I also have the VP9 in a 4in and a 5in barrel and slide. Doesn't make a difference in size, this firearm points so naturally that all of them are great shooters. Bassbob got me interested in the VP guns and boy he wasn't wrong. They are the best firearms I have ever shot.

I think the VP9 is 4.1". Surprisingly I shoot my VP9SK even better than the VP9 though.

In reality all the blame for that rests with @HansGruber. If anyone gets credit for this ragtag group of VP9 addicts it's him. I was lusting after a P30L I could never find in stock and on his advice picked up a VP9 to shoot in the mean time. It was on after that.
